Utilizing the up-and-coming concept of parametric design, the rigid pieces of this shelf morph into a free flowing, organic shape when assembled. Why You’ll Love It: The fluid parametric design turns your wall into a talking point, while the custom-fit frosted acrylic topper ensures your books, plants, or pictures have the perfect perch. Why Choose ARO? Though lower-priced parametric shelves are available online, they often sacrifice quality and design innovation. Our exclusive acrylic topper makes our shelf the only one on the market featuring a solid, seamless top. We’re also the only business offering hardwood parametric shelves. Most competitors sell their shelves in MDF (a low-cost particle board material, think IKEA) and only a handful use Baltic Birch. At ARO Designs, we take pride in setting a higher standard. Our commitment to unmatched craftsmanship and material quality is what truly sets us apart. While I wouldn't recommend using the Hanging Lake Shelf to display your dumbbell collection, this shelf can easily support 50lbs, plenty of strength to beautifully display your keepsakes. How do I install the shelf? Hours and hours have been spent crafting the easiest possible installation process. This is an abbreviated description of what we came up with: The shelf backing has predrilled and countersunk holes at the standard stud spacing interval of 16". Use a stud finder to ensure the shelf is anchored to at least one stud on both the left and right half of the backing (backing will arrive in 2 pieces). In the interest of protecting the innovations which set us apart from other parametric shelf manufacturers, full instructions will be sent to clients upon ordering. Do you make custom versions?
