Herra Toolbox Kit A woodworking kit for ages 7–12 The Herra Toolbox is the second woodworking kit in the Arco workstation. It builds directly on the skills introduced in the Escabel Stool and introduces more precise ways of working with wood. The focus is accuracy, patience, and understanding how strong structures are made. Young makers will learn to saw straight and curved lines, and are introduced to the box joint — a simple but extremely strong joint used widely in furniture and cabinet making. The project also develops core skills in gluing and clamping boxes, a fundamental process that underpins most woodworking. The kit is designed for children aged 7–12. It offers enough challenge to feel serious and absorbing, while remaining achievable with care and supervision. The emphasis is on learning through doing, rather than rushing to an outcome. The toolbox is primarily made from furniture-grade birch plywood — a strong, stable, and long-lasting material used by professional furniture makers. The finished toolbox is robust, functional, and genuinely useful long after it’s made.
