Created in 2016 by independent artist Oli Thalassinos, The Hidden Light Tarot is a 78-card tarot rooted in the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition and deeply informed by Jewish mysticism and magical practice. The deck takes its name from the Kabbalistic idea of or haganuz—the primordial divine light concealed within creation as sparks waiting to be revealed and reunited with their source. Thalassinos brings this idea into the language of tarot through imagery that moves between concealment and revelation, contraction and expansion, the elemental and the cosmic. Created through collage and mixed-media pen, ink, and paint, the cards are saturated with color, texture, magical tools, natural forms, and celestial imagery. Rather than simply illustrating familiar tarot meanings, the artwork invites exploration and discovery, creating a deck equally at home in divination, meditation, magical practice, and creative work. For its 10th Anniversary Edition, The Hidden Light Tarot returns with newly created card-back artwork and is locally printed on the East Coast of the USA on substantial 410 gsm cardstock with a velvety matte finish.
