I was fortunate to swim in these crystal-clear waters, surrounded by ancient geological formations and stone shaped over thousands of years. Stalactites and stalagmites hung above the water and dipped below its surface as I walked and swam through the underground passages. This unique ecosystem of dark caverns connects five distinct open and semi-closed cenotes and is part of the Pon-Dera system, one of the longest mapped underwater cave networks in the world. These ancient, magical waters inspired the entire Cenote Collection.
