Notorious radio commentator Anthony Fitch lies dead on the carpet of his study, and private investigator Johnny Strange (Warren Douglas) gets framed for the murder by his secretary (Adele Mara). Called to the crime scene, Detective Lieutenant Webb (William Frawley) doesn't think her story adds up. A parade of suspicious characters turns up, offering tantalizing clues that only lead to more questions.
