At the time of their first two albums - 1977‘s In The City and 1978’s This Is The Modern World - Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler were frequent guests at radio sessions o rganized by the British public radio station. This album collects 16 performances from the period, with five tracks from the debut album, six from the successor, A-sides (‘All Around The World’, ‘News Of The World’, ‘’A‘ Bomb In Wardour Street’) and B-sides (‘Carnaby Street’) of singles and a sneak peek from the follow-up ‘All Mod Cons’ (‘Billy Hunt’). Incendiary performances in a style that combined punk and contemporary new wave with 60s mod beat with strong reminiscences of The Who and The Kinks, while Weller's songwriting talent was already bearing ripe fruit.
