The photographs in The Lake were taken over an 8-year period at a lake that has multigenerational significance to the artist’s family and explore collective story-making and subjective landscapes that are formed through tradition. All of the photographs in The Lake were shot on film in multiple formats and printed in various alternative photographic techniques. The book was constructed with five different Japanese papers.
