Sparks Lake with a view of Broken Top and South Sister peaks is one of the most popular shooting spots for the Pacific North West photographers. I took a chance for my second visit to check it out on a cold, overcast evening. For a long time it felt like I was freezing my toes off for nothing before the last rays of the setting sun broke through and created this dramatic scene.
