This stunning piece weighs over 700 pounds. It shows a hand, which symbolizes the hand of God reflected in each of the artisans who made this work of art possible. It also shows a Quetzal bird, a salamander, and the faces of three Mayan warriors. These faces represent the courage and strength of Maya people. Artist: CARLOS REYES Carlos was born in San Pedro las Huertas, La Antigua Guatemala, and he has been a jade carver for over 40 years. He has ventured into Mayan replicas, jewelry and sculptures.
