The Plait Sleeve sweater has an oversized fit, turtleneck and balloon sleeves with a loose cable design. It's created using a top-down, seamless technique making it easy to finish with no seaming. Crafted from two strands of delicate lace-weight mohair yarn, this sweater is perfect for intermediate level knitters looking for a new challenge. Inspired by the Suzie Meyers contiguous method, the construction is similar to a top-down raglan but with more frequent shoulder increases. You'll start by knitting in one piece until the end of the shoulders, then divide off and knit flat to the underarms before continuing in the round for the rest of the project. The sleeves and neckline are both picked up and knit in the round for a seam-free finish. Fit & Yarn Details Choose two strands of 2ply mohair / mohair blend yarn held together or one strand of 10 ply mohair / mohair blend. If you choose 10 ply yarn, then use half the recommended yarn quantity. Model wears approx 30 cm / 12” positive ease. NOTE: The sleeves are worked in the round using the magic loop method, but you could just opt to use a shorter cord with your circulars or use DPNs.
