A combination of synthetic insulation and goose down work together to keep you warm, while technical elements like a waterproof outer, powder skirt, and underarm venting dial you in for wintry weather at the resort and beyond. Benefits Breathable Allows air or moisture vapor to pass through — regulates body temperature during high-output skiing. Wind Blocks wind from penetrating the garment, greatly reducing wind chill. Synthetic Fill HEATSEEKER™ synthetic insulation maintains warmth even in damp conditions. Down Fill Lofty 600-fill down insulation provides the highest warmth-to-weight ratio in cold, dry conditions. Waterproof DRYVENT™ 2L shell provides a barrier to rain and snow for full-day dryness. Recycled Material Recycled content throughout — main body, lining, and insulation. Fit & Construction Regular Fit, Cropped Length True-to-size regular fit with a cropped, modern silhouette — sits at the high hip, layers cleanly over a baselayer without bunching, and won't ride up on the chairlift. DRYVENT™ 2L Waterproof Shell Waterproof, breathable DRYVENT™ 2L shell with a non-PFC DWR finish — two-layer construction that keeps rain and snow out while letting sweat vapor escape. Critical for full-day resort skiing in wet snow, sleet, or spring conditions. Iridescent Ripstop Iridescent ripstop fabric on the hood, main body, and lower sleeves — shimmers in the light, holds up to abrasion from chairlift rails, branches, and pack straps. The ripstop weave prevents small tears from spreading. Recycled Fabric Stack Three distinct recycled fabric stories: main body is 64% recycled polyester + 36% recycled nylon; yoke and upper sleeves are 93% recycled polyester; lining is 100% recycled polyester. Each panel is engineered for its function — durability on the body, stretch on the shoulders, comfort next to skin on the lining. Hybrid Insulation (Down + Synthetic) Best of both worlds: 600 fill recycled waterfowl down in the body for maximum warmth-to-weight ratio, plus HEATSEEKER™ synthetic insulation (280 g in the hood, 200 g in the underarms). The synthetic panels are placed where moisture accumulates (hood from breath, underarms from sweat) — synthetic keeps insulating even when damp, where down would lose loft. HEATSEEKER™ Hollow-Core Fibers HEATSEEKER™ is engineered with hollow-core fibers for added warmth, performance, and durability — lighter than solid-core synthetic insulation of equivalent warmth. 70% post-consumer recycled content. Helmet-Compatible Hood Attached, adjustable, helmet-compatible hood with snap closure, riveted cord-lock adjustment system, quilted interior, and high-shine lining. Sized to fit over a ski/snowboard helmet without restricting peripheral vision, and the riveted cord-locks won't slip in the cold. Brushed-Tricot Inner Collar Plush brushed-tricot collar lining (146 g/m² 100% recycled polyester) — soft against the chin and neck even when zipped all the way up. Wicks light moisture and dries quickly. YKK® AquaGuard® Zippers #5 YKK® AquaGuard® center front zip with tab closure and rubberized snaps — fully waterproof zippers keep rain and snow out of the chest pocket area. Hand pockets also use #5 AquaGuard® zips for the same reason. Secure Wrist Pocket with Goggle Wipe Covered, secure-zip wrist pocket — the classic ski jacket pass pocket for a lift ticket or RFID card. Includes a built-in goggle wipe for clearing fogged or snowed-over lenses on the lift. Internal Chest Pocket with Media Port Internal secure-zip chest pocket with a media port — sized for a phone, with a routing hole for a headphone cable. Keeps the phone dry and accessible for music or trail maps. Large Mesh Drop-In Pocket Large internal mesh drop-in pocket — perfect for stashing a pair of goggles, a beanie, or a pair of liner gloves for the après-ski transition. Underarm Venting Underarm venting for temperature regulation — dump heat on the boot-pack up or the long traverse. Critical for spring skiing and sidecountry hikes where you're working hard. Internal Elastic Cuffs Internal elastic cuffs seal out snow at the wrist — work in conjunction with the wrist gaiters for double protection on deep days. Stretch-Knit Wrist Gaiters Integrated, stretch-knit wrist gaiters with thumbholes — the modern ski jacket standard. Keep snow out of the sleeves and add wrist warmth without the bulk of separate gauntlets. Removable Powder Skirt Removable, stretch powder skirt with silicone gripper tape — seals out snow on waist-deep days. Includes a jacket-to-pant integration clip for connecting to TNF ski pants, creating a one-piece suit effect for true deep snow. Internal Hem Cinch-Cord Internal hem cinch-cord with two-point adjustment — tighten from inside the hand pockets to seal in warmth or loosen for ventilation and mobility. Regular detergent strips the natural oils from down clusters and reduces loft. Wash separately from other garments to avoid snagging the ripstop face fabric. Drying Down Tumble dry LOW with 2–3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls. The balls break up down clumps as they dry, restoring loft. Expect 2–3 drying cycles — down takes longer than synthetic to dry fully. Make sure the jacket is 100% dry before storing; even slightly damp down can mildew and develop permanent odor. Skip These for Down Skip fabric softener, bleach, dry cleaning, and ironing. Fabric softener coats down clusters and destroys loft. Bleach degrades the recycled nylon. Dry cleaning chemicals damage the DWR finish and the down's natural oils. Ironing can melt the synthetic HEATSEEKER™ fibers in the hood and underarms. DWR Refresh The non-PFC DWR finish on the outer shell wears off with use and washes. When water stops beading and starts to wet out, refresh with Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On (for the main body ripstop and yoke) or a PFC-free spray. Apply to a clean, dry jacket. Tumble dry low for 20 minutes to heat-cure. Zipper Care (AquaGuard®) The YKK® AquaGuard® zippers are waterproof but need gentle care. Don't force them open when stuck — back up slightly and try again. If a zipper sticks in the cold, warm it briefly with your hand or breath before pulling. Lubricate sparingly with a beeswax candle if needed. Powder Skirt Care The removable powder skirt has silicone gripper tape that loses tackiness if compressed for long periods. After washing, reattach the skirt and lay the jacket flat to dry so the silicone recovers. If the gripper stops gripping, hand-wash the skirt with a gentle detergent and air-dry. Wrist Gaiter Care The integrated stretch-knit wrist gaiters can stretch out if hung wet. After washing, lay the jacket flat (or drape over a wide hanger) so the gaiters hang freely. Replace gaiters separately if they wear through — most TNF repair shops can do this inexpensively. Storage (Critical for Down) Store the jacket LOOSE — on a wide hanger or in a large breathable garment bag. Never store down compressed (in a stuff sack for months) — it will lose loft permanently. If space is tight, store uncompressed in a pillowcase. Air out the jacket at the end of each season before storing. Stain Treatment Pre-treat grease, dirt, or food stains with a dab of down-safe liquid detergent before washing. Avoid spot-cleaning sprays or stain removers not specifically formulated for down — they can leave residues that affect loft and water repellency. Hood Adjustment Care The riveted cord-lock adjusters on the hood can loosen over time. If the cord slips, push the cord-lock down firmly and cinch again. Don't pull on the cord itself — pull on the lock tab. Replacement cord-locks are inexpensive and easy to install with a small screwdriver. Repair & Warranty TNF offers a limited lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. For accidental damage (rips, broken zippers, lost snaps), TNF's in-house repair program can fix this jacket for a fraction of replacement cost. Common repairs: zipper replacement, snap replacement, wrist gaiter replacement, patch jobs.
