I had initially thought of doing a collection of four pairs of earrings. After taking photos of the rest, I thought that perhaps I could do one more. After searching Gerald’s Facebook page, this happy little bird caught my eye, especially so with the pretty pink bell flowers it is feeding from. Perfect colour palette! Bi lemon quartz was used as a focal, with fresh green dew drop peridot and pink sapphires to compliment and brighten the pair. I had looked at the pretty pink flowers and almost immediately remembered some hoarded pink coral roses. I thought long and hard about using them, as coral is extremely rare and difficult to find these days, making them very pricey. But I thought, heck it, and added them in. The other special stone in this pair are the gorgeous, evenly-coloured, dagger-cut citrine briolettes. I had originally used another stone, but took them out to replace with these slim citrine.
