Together with their 10-member; intergenerational soul band, they perfected complex grooves that elegantly highlighted Black Wolf's high-flying vocals attracting notable fans like DJ Shadow and Tom Moulton, The man who invented the 12-inch disco track and also remixed Kings Go Forth's "Don't Toke My Shadow" included on This record). With album art by the D.C. folk artist Mingering Mike (famous for painting covers for imaginary albumsthis was his first real cover), the Kings Go Forth's first and only full-length record, The Outsiders Are Back, borrowed from the past to make The soul music of the future. 14/07/23
