Mr. Sun is a new collaboration between four of American string band music's most prolific virtuosos. Spearheaded by legendary fiddler Darol Anger (Turtle Island String Quartet/Mont reux), the members of Mr. Sun span three generations and create a sound that draws from bluegrass, jazz and contemporary classical themes. On their much anticipated debut album, THE PEOPLE NEED LIGHT, Mr. Sun scorches a set of tunes that emanate with warmth, emotion and pure joy. With both personality and unimaginable finesse, they move through soaring melodies, titillating solos, groovy rhythms and fluid time changes.
