Instructions For Making This Extract - Ready in as little as 2 months: You will need a large open-mouth extract jar for this blend, a mason jar is ideal. This was designed to be just below "double-fold" concentration. Pour contents of the pouch into a jar using the following amount of vodka: 2oz Pouch - 10oz of Vodka 4oz Pouch - 20oz of Vodka 8oz Pouch - 40oz of Vodka 1lb Pouch - 80oz of Vodka NOTE: The reason we call for a large amount of vodka is because the peppermint and cacao will absorb much of liquid. If you want to begin with 10oz, 20oz, 40oz and 80oz of vodka so it fits in a smaller jar, that's OK. Just watch it regularly and "top off" the alcohol as you see the alcohol level drop due to absorption. The amount of alcohol listed above is the amount we needed for each pouch size, but it may vary based on storage temperature and storage containers. Ensure that vanilla beans are fully submerged. Store in a cool/dark place for 2 months and taste test by putting 1 drop of extract into 1 tablespoon of milk. If you like the taste, you can begin to use. If you would like more chocolate/peppermint flavor, continue extracting for up to 2 more months, taste testing regularly. Remove all the ingredients once ready and decant into a more decorative jar for use or gifting. If you would prefer more vanilla flavor, leave the vanilla beans in for as long as you choose, taste testing regularly.
