Original Gouache Painting on Moleskine Paper H: 7.5" W: 4.5" Comes framed and matted to 11"x 8.5" When I was growing up my parents took me to a talk given by Thomas Bopp, discovere r of the Hale-Bopp comet, in his presentation he showed the iconic Hubble image of the Pillars of Creation. I remember being stunned by the scale when he shined a laser pointer on to the giant projector screen and said our solar system is smaller than the red dot of the laser. Many years later I am still inspired by that image, enough to try my hand at painting, I just love the colors and the structure of the gas and dust clouds. Show more
