The album is an evocative, sometimes rollicking, deeply moving collection of 11 songs from writers as diverse as Greg Brown (Lately), Nick Lowe (I Live on a Battlefield), even U2 (Sweetest Thing), and Elizabeth Ziman ("Open Book").
