Found at a market in Carpentras, in Provence.A large French terre de fer basin from around the turn of the last century, transfer printed with pink rose bouquets and a garland bord er along the gently scalloped rim. Basins like this once belonged to washstand sets — today it makes a generous salad or serving bowl.Unmarked, as much French terre de fer of this period is.
