This marvellous 1966 British quad film poster gives us a bit of an insight into cinema programming through the sixties. The main film would be accompanied by one or more films or s hort films. On this occasion the support film is advertised in full colour "By authority of the Queen" - "Palaces of a Queen". Spy films were a major draw through the 1960's but appealing mainly to men - this clever move by Rank cinemas was designed to appeal also to their partners.
