Title: First Light Artist: The Ratchets Label: Pirates Press Recs Product Type: VINYL LP UPC: 814867028110 Genre: Rock Release Date: 2018-11-09 Number of Discs: 1 THE RATCHETS want you to know that they've rolled back into town. Guitars in tow, their new record First Light" in hand- they're ready to continue pushing their musical boundaries to deliver on their unique brand of punk that fans have come to know and love. This album is fresh, full of hooks, artful lyrics, and politically, with everything going on in the world - is just on-point. Following the release of "Glory Bound" (Pirates Press Records' first LP) in 2006, THE RATCHETS were hailed by many as an integral part of the answer to a world without The Clash. "First Light", full of it's gunslinger politics and humanist tendencies, is a statement piece from a band who's long since cornered the market on authenticity. From the rousing power-pop hit "Gotta Be Cool", to the punchy socio-political commentary of "Dotard At The Dial", The Ratchets cover a lot of terrain jamming out proto-punk bangers, ballads, and everything in between. With this album, The Ratchets show us that they've been carving their own path this whole time, somewhere between the real world and the stuff of rock and roll dreams. So whether you've been here since the beginning, or are new to the party, we present "First Light" as a shining example of why THE RATCHETS hold a special place in the hearts and playlists of so many die-hard music fans across the globe. It's been a long drive though the night but "First Light" is here; and at a time when it's so desperately needed!!"Tracks:1.1 Gotta Be Cool 1.2 Drone Control 1.3 Bad Vibes 1.4 2-4-6-8 Motorway 1.5 Dotard at the Dial 1.6 World Trade Lungs 1.7 Paterson 1.8 Fiscal Spliff 1.9 Stray Emotions 1.10 War Office Number 1.11 Jammyland
