Found at a market in Amiens, northern France. A deep terre de fer serving bowl from around the turn of the last century, transfer-printed with grey-blue roses and a dense floral bo rder along the rim.The glaze has crazed evenly over the decades and taken on a soft grey-blue patina — the quiet character that made this one worth carrying home. The underside bears a deep-impressed “JF”, likely a workshop mark; the maker remains unidentified.
