A storm offshore at dusk, with one strike coming down to the water.The cloud is a single cell, white at the top and flat along the base, and underneath it a curtain of rain has gon e pink where the last light is getting through. The bolt drops out of that curtain, forking twice on the way down, and the sea underneath returns it as a pale column. Everything else is quiet — deep blue overhead, dark sand across the bottom, the water pulled smooth by the exposure.One event in an otherwise still frame.
