NYC ska/reggae legends The Slackers are back with a new collection of rarities - or as they put it, “Tales of Mirth, Heartbreak, and Woe!” - from their extensive catalog with the release of Lost & Found Vol 2 on Pirates Press Records. In their well over 30-year career, The Slackers have been one of the most consistently prolific artists in the game. While that means their legions of worldwide fans are never wanting for new material, it can also mean that once in a while, even dedicated fans can miss a new song here or there. Thus, it’s helpful that the band periodically collects some of these lesser known and sought-after gems for wide release under the Lost & Found banner! Lost & Found Vol 2 includes some of the rarest Slackers tunes of them all. Live versions of several songs as well as the studio track “Diskambobulated” come from ultra-rare lathe cut singles. Still others come from limited one-time-only single pressings on PPR, including two 12” singles and one collaborative 7” which features vocals by Japanese dancehall sensation Papa B. Finally, it includes a dub mix of “Time Won’t Set You Free” that is previously unreleased.
