It carries a certain innocence, but also something very powerful, a connection to what we originally are, before we had to adapt. At the same time, Jung also pointed out that there can be a risk in this. If a person “gets stuck” in this childlike state without continuing to develop, it can lead to an adult who avoids responsibility. So it’s not about being the child, but about consciously integrating it into one’s adult self. In my painting, a little girl is sliding down clouds, in blue and purple tones, surrounded by warm, orange clouds. For me, this can symbolize both lightness and trust.
