The part of Scotland described in this book includes all the hill and mountain areas from the central valley between the Forth and the Clyde northwards to the Moor of Rannoch. In t he southern part of this area are the low hills such as the Campsies, the Ochils and the Lomonds of Fife which are a familiar part of the landscape of central Scotland.
