This passionate embrace between two figures was made using the traditional print making process of Zinc plate Lithography. Lithography is a temperamental medium and the relationshi p between the printmaker and plate often reflects this tension. A lack of control is given up by the printmaker to the plate as it informs the direction of the image. The watermarks and fingerprints on the plate reveal this physical process, a collaboration of sorts between the print bed and the artist.
