Each board here was rescued from another build, finished the same way we finish everything — mineral oil until fully saturated, Clapham’s beeswax, rubber feet — and put here before it took up any more space in the shop.Nature made these. Board No. 1 — Walnut End Grain 16.5” × 10” × 1.5” — CA$225 Classic end grain construction with a tight, symmetrical mosaic pattern — the kind of board that looks like a piece of art sitting on your counter. Wild swirling grain with natural character marks — knots and checks right in the centre that most makers would cut around. We didn’t. Those marks are what make this piece unrepeatable.
