Nature is full of mystery, and if you’ve spent any time in South Louisiana, you’re probably familiar with an iconic one: the cypress knee. Some think the knees help get oxygen to t he tree’s roots. Maybe they create a barrier to catch sediment and reduce erosion? Most likely, knees anchor the cypress in our soft delta soil so they can weather storms. We created this card to appreciate the folks who anchor us in the rich soil of our lives: through the storms, floods and sunny days too.
