Tungu, aka Sergiy Senchuk, is a sound artist, bassist and experimentalist based in Chernigiv, Ukraine, a city whose resolve has been felt far beyond its borders. His wide-ranging r ecordings carry that spirit, drawing in collaborators including Mia Zabelka, Charles K. Noyes, Al Margolis, Frank Gratkowski and Maggie Nicols. Henry Kaiser is an American guitarist and composer, active as a singular soloist, sideman, ethnomusicologist and film score composer. A key figure in the San Francisco Bay Area and part of the second generation of American free improvisers, he founded Metalanguage Records in 1977 and has worked with Fred Frith, John French, Wadada Leo Smith and Elliott Sharp. After spending over two months in Antarctica in 2001, Henry Kaiser also collaborated with filmmaker Werner Herzog, contributing underwater camera work and soundtracks. The Unexplained is the second collaborative album from Tungu and Henry Kaiser. Show more
