The west's first raid on the east. Sent over to make up the numbers. Stayed to take four flags home. Formed in 1986, the first club from Western Australia admitted to the national competition. The eastern states expected an easy kill. Instead, by 1992 it became the first non-Victorian club to win a premiership, went back-to-back territory in 1994, then added 2006 and 2018. The reputation hardened fast: corporate, ruthless, nearly unbeatable at home, and entirely comfortable being resented for it. On the field it has mostly meant discipline over flash - contested ball, structure, and a habit of winning the ones that matter. Some clubs waited a century for a flag. This club took six years.
