Unlike traditional envelopes, this one lacks a sustain control, instead offering an initial level and an attack level. The initial level determines the starting point of the envelope, while the attack level sets the peak it reaches after the attack phase. The zero-delay design ensures there’s no spectral warping at high frequencies, a common issue in many digital filters. For example, when the cutoff frequency is set to 10 kHz, only frequencies above 20 kHz are reduced by 12 dB per octave, preserving the integrity of the high-frequency spectrum. By avoiding oversampling, we maintain the raw purity of the oscillators while keeping CPU usage efficient and resource-friendly.
