RAS was notable for its dedication to roots reggae artists through the 1980s and 1990s, serving as a valuable international pipeline as well as a prolific producer and publisher of original works. Dread has worked with many artists including Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, Jimmy Cliff, Inner Circle, Gregory Isaacs, Luciano, Mad Cobra, Freddy Mcgregor, Sly and Robbie, Steel Pulse, The Wailers, and Bunny Wailer. His collaborations with Israel Vibration include not only extensive musical recordings, but a recorded oral history of the group and its members.
