That’s where the Theory Alloy Axle Nuts come in. Many BMX front hubs use 3/8" axles, while freestyle rear hubs commonly use 14mm axles. The thread pitch matters too, especially on 3/8 axle nuts, where 26TPI needs to match the axle correctly. The Theory nuts are available in both 3/8" 26TPI and 14mm M14x1, which makes them a much safer upgrade when you know your hub size. 5 Reasons Theory Alloy Axle Nuts Are Better Why these axle nuts stand out Super lightweight aluminum construction for a cleaner, lighter setup than bulky stock nuts Available in both 3/8" 26TPI and 14mm M14x1 for common BMX front and rear axle setups Thin enough to fit pegs, making them a better option for street and big BMX riders running axle pegs Hard anodized in multiple colors so you can match your build and add custom detail 17mm hex head for clean installation and easy wrench access on BMX setups Spec: Size: 3/8" or 14mm Compatibility: 3/8" 26TPI & 14MM M14X1 Material: 6061 aluminum A clean bike comes down to the details When you’re building a BMX bike, it’s the small parts that make the difference between a bike that looks thrown together and a bike that looks finished.
