At this point, the mechanism releases the lock and the connector closes automatically. The mechanism also prevents accidental opening of the lock when under load. Its unique shape makes it easier for people with small hands, such as women or children, to handle. ERGO WIRE is part of the ERGO family and is specifically designed for environments where the connector is subject to friction with the rope/cable, such as adventure parks or via ferratas. At the top, a lever acts as a safety feature to prevent accidental opening of the connector. This lever is made of self-lubricating marine bronze and allows for smoother sliding of the connector on the rope/cable. Often, especially in adventure parks, carabiners are heavily worn in the area of contact with the steel cable and are therefore no longer safe in the event of a fall. With this protective feature, the connector body does not make contact and thus remains intact and secure. The wire lock also offers a lifespan approximately four times longer than traditional bar levers, a very popular feature in adventure parks where opening/closing cycles are very frequent.
