The structure suggests a device designed to pull, twist, and reverse, held in a state of visible tension. Titled the rewinder, the work imagines a tool for undoing gestures already performed on the body. Spiral elements and a linear axis evoke a mechanism of return, proposing the possibility of reversal, correction, or restoration. Within the narrative of the imagined surgeon, the object shifts from intervention toward repair — an attempt to rewind transformation rather than produce it. The gesture remains uncertain, questioning whether anything can truly be undone, or if every reversal leaves new traces. Suspended between control and impossibility, the piece reflects a persistent desire to return to an earlier version of the self, where time, alteration, and memory might be momentarily held in place.
