Situated southwest of Chablis, the Irancy appellation received AC status in 1999, reflecting its warmer nineties vintages. The Richoux family, tending Irancy since 1620, exclusivel y embraced winemaking in the seventies. Thierry, joined by sons Félix and Gabin in 2013, manages 19 organic hectares. Their 2017 Irancy marked a turning point, and a new cellar in 2019 promises further improvements. The flagship Irancy 2019, 100% Pinot Noir from up to 70-year-old vines, undergoes gentle destalking and a 26-month élevage. Offering zesty red cherry fruit, fine tannins, and a total SO2 of 50mg/l, it represents excellent value in a wine landscape often marked by high prices. Show more
