Irish rock band Thin Lizzy released their debut studio album on April 30, 1971. The album was followed by the New Day EP, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios and released in August of the same year. It was the band’s first album with the original lineup of Phil Lynott (bas, vocal), Eric Bell (guitar) and Brian Downey (drums). This album was Thin Lizzy putting all they had into the music and taking risks. It’s passionate, high-energy and distinctive. Celebrating its 55th anniversary, this deluxe 2LP set features the original album alongside a brand-new stereo mix by Richard Whittaker, pressed on green vinyl.Disc 1Track List 1 The Friendly Ranger At Clontarf Castle2 Honesty Is No Excuse3 Diddy Levine4 Ray-Gun5 Look What The Wind Just Blew In6 Eire7 Return Of The Farmer’s Son8 Clifton Grange Hotel9 Saga Of The Ageing Orphan10 Remembering, Pt.1Disc 2Track List1 The Friendly Ranger At Clontarf Castle2 Honesty Is No Excuse3 Diddy Levine4 Ray-Gun5 Look What The Wind Just Blew In6 Eire7 Return Of The Farmer’s Son8 Clifton Grange Hotel9 Saga Of The Ageing Orphan10 Remembering, Pt.1
