The Spark Cups are my painted poems upon a cup, with a bit of wonder and kindness stirred into the art for good measure. In the spirit of Charles DeLint's words, "touch magic, pass it on", I hope my time in the realm of makers and poets, where I forge a bit of myself to the great body of collective work, is carried to you upon a cup. May whatever it stirs in you be passed on down the line. Like prints of a painting, the cups that make up my “Spark Cup Line” are faithful reproductions of my originals. Designed in my Washington State studio, made in Thailand. Holds 9 ounces. The wares are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe, as well as family and café proven strong. Third party tested for food safety. Size: Large (9 fl. oz.) Measures diameter 3” height 3.5” Art on all sides. Comfortable to hold with a unique thumb divot. Your hands deserve to be happy holding this cup! Useful Care Instructions: The bottom of the cups is porous and will absorb water during washing. It is best to make sure it can dry upside down completely before putting away, thus allowing all the water to evaporate from the cup to keep it in pristine condition. ABOUT THE ARTIST Living off the grid, artist Cary Lane creates ceramics inspired by nature. While attending California State University Long Beach, she fell in love with ceramics.
