Sometimes Hope is all we have. Life is a rollercoaster. We thrive on the ups and have to hold on when we go down. My friend Chantelle knew many ups. She accomplished so much in her 37 years and it is only now we understand the enormous ripple effect her achievements had on people around the world. And like all of us, she knew many downs. Only last week she asked me "how do you ride the downs?" Like Chantelle, I have had anxiety challenges and know how the darkness can envelop you. I know how hard it can be to find hope. Today, I'll tell you the same thing I told her: I trust that things will change. I try to remember that I've been here before and it didn't last. I think of it like the rollercoaster - it never stays up or down so I just have to hold on until it changes. We did everything to help her hold on, to give her hope, to reassure her that This Too Shall Pass This was one of her favourite sayings. I told her last week that I had decided to put it on a bangle finally, and she loved it. In her name, we hope this bangle will help others ride the rollercoaster, find hope And Hold On.
