THIS VERY PRESENTsize 50/51 each handmade object is, in a sense, a crystallized “present”. it represents hours of intention, attention and skill — time given form. when we pick up a handmade item, we touch the maker’s presence and their thinking and care is brought into the tangible world. and if you will, the handmade object becomes a bridge: between the maker’s present and the wearer’s present - or the future moment in which the object might become a gift. with this ring, i am hoping for something even gentler. its engraving — THIS VERY PRESENT — proposes that simply being with one another, noticing, encountering, can be its own offering. this object can serve as your kind reminder. in the best case, the object invites a small pause centered on attention. to attend to each other, to crafted things and to the stories that hands and materials carry. it hints that the most meaningful gift might be the experience of shared presence itself. ____________________ this ring is part of a series consisting of 6 rings and 5 pendants (necklaces). the objects came into being for an event of shared presences, now off to find their homes as rings on your fingers and or as pendants worn close to your hearts. or the ones of your loved ones. ____________________ All objects are handmade individually from 935 silver. The pieces are hand-carved in wax and locally cast in recycled 935 silver. The wax model, as well as the mould, are destroyed in the process of the silver casting, which is why the process is also called cire perdue or lost form. This means that, even when I reproduce the design, there is only ever one version of this exact ring. it is absolutely unique. Please note that small irregularities that can occur in/on each piece due to its individual process, are not planned, but never unwanted and will not be accepted as reasons for returns/exchanges.
