Malleable Iron head fitted with one Rawhide and one Copper cylindrical face. The malleable Iron head and the Copper/Rawhide faces combine to provide the weight for the blow and the faces prevent damage to most items being struck. Ideal where a heavy blow is required combined with a relatively small striking area. Faces are designed to wear and can be replaced. Used as a multi purpose soft faced hammer in engineering and automotive for assembly, repair and maintenance. Thor hammers and Mallets are still made in Solihull in the West Midlands where they have been produced for a number of generations by the same family run business.
