The THÖRESS Full Function Preamplifier MKII illuminates the Acoustic Truth through its advanced vacuum tube architecture and meticulously designed circuitry. This preamplifier masterfully balances precision and warmth, providing an unparalleled listening experience. The THÖRESS Full Function Pre-amplifier MKII employs a vacuum tube design utilizing a state-of-the-art line control amplifier with dual 12J5GT tubes and an innovative phono equalizer with a combination of 2xPC86 and 2x12JGT tubes. The unit operates on single-ended zero-feedback topology, which minimizes signal degradation and distortion inherent in feedback systems. By rejecting the common reliance on balanced technology, the FFPre capitalizes on the inherent characteristics of single-ended circuits, providing organic sound reproduction with reduced noise. Each input section for both MC and MM cartridges is meticulously configured with high gain and specific loading characteristics, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of cartridges while maintaining optimal signal integrity. The output stage is engineered with a low output impedance of 300 ohms to facilitate long cable runs and ensure compatibility with various amplifier inputs without adversely affecting the sound quality.Key Features Single-Ended Zero-Feedback Topology: Ensures low distortion and high fidelity, allowing for natural sound reproduction. Dual 12J5GT & Quad 2xPC86 Tubes: Provides an expansive dynamic range and harmonic richness, critical for accurate audio playback. On-the-Fly Selectable Inputs: Conveniently switch between three customizable phono inputs, enabling optimal matching for various MC cartridges. Precision RIAA De-Emphasis: Passively implemented for accurate equalization, ensuring faithful music reproduction across all frequency ranges. Low Output Impedance: Designed to drive loads as low as 10,000 ohms while maintaining sound quality, facilitating flexible system configurations.
