The Thorncombe table is our simplest, most timeless of forms. Standing on substantial square legs, it seems almost rooted to the ground. Its namesake, Thorncombe wood sits next to Thomas Hardy's cottage in Dorset and is host to 26 hectares of diverse habitat including mature oak, sweet chestnut and beech. The largest size (un-extended) of Thorncombe table that we offer in our collections will comfortably seat 10 people. We offer an extending version of this table, with 'store-away' leaves (when not in use these would need to be stored away from the table, elsewhere in the home), that slot in at each end of the table.
