These bobbins of thread belonged to my grandmother Olly (you can read about her here), a costume designer whose creativity - I like to think - is carried on in me. I’ve always love d these spools—not just for their texture and color, but for what they symbolize.Thread binds and repairs; It mends what is torn and connects what might otherwise unravel.
