It connects the circulation plumbing to the pool wall fitting assembly and helps direct water into the pool for circulation and distribution. The 1-1/2" socket x 2" spigot configuration should be matched to the pool’s plumbing layout and fitting requirements. The included gasket helps support sealing between the fitting and pool wall, which is important for maintaining water containment and preventing leaks around the wall penetration. During installation, the fiberglass wall surface, gasket area, fitting body, plumbing connection, and surrounding pool structure should be inspected for damage, debris, or distortion. Proper alignment and even tightening are important to help maintain a secure seal without stressing the fitting or pool wall. Routine maintenance should include checking the return fitting for cracks, looseness, leaks, discoloration, debris buildup, or restricted flow. Keeping the fitting and gasket area in good condition helps support proper circulation, pool wall integrity, and long-term reliability of the fiberglass pool system. Show more
