Back Nuts Description Female threaded back nuts are generally used to secure threaded pipework and fittings to bulkheads and tanks. No special tools are required. Approvals Imperia l solvent weld PVC fittings are generally manufactured in accordance with EN1452-3. Threaded PVC fittings are generally manufactured in accordance with BS21, DIN2999, ISO7. All fittings have WRAS approval and are suitable for use with potable drinking water applications. Pressure Rating PVC solvent weld fittings (sizes 1/2" to 8") have a pressure rating of 15 bar (215 psi) at 20oC. PVC threaded fittings (1/2" to 4") have a pressure rating of 12 bar (170 psi) at 20oC As temperature increases the pressure rating is reduced.
