Djeco's Threading Terrible Dinos is closer to a build than a craft. Wooden beads and punch-out cardboard pieces thread onto pipe cleaners to make three dinosaurs, and the number of ways the pieces can go together means no two builds have to come out the same. The beads come in cubes, rounds, ovals and faceted shapes, so the spacing between plates and spines is a decision rather than a given. Finished dinosaurs stand up on their own, which turns the craft into something that stays out on a shelf. Thirty-eight beads and fifteen pipe cleaners leaves plenty of room to take them apart and start over.
