The musette is a small French bagpipe that became quite fashionable in Louis XIV's time. In the "Musette" the note G sounds throughout, allowing for developing players to carefully pitch their notes. The "Air" comes from Handel's opera "Rinaldo" and is one of the most beautiful tunes ever written.
