'OLIVE'An elegant ‘Aged Vintage’ style three drawer chest. Upcycled to a high standard by hand in shades of green and white, with feature side panels of a beautiful natural design inset within gold leaf - clay molding. The chest has three drawers with the handles finished in gold leaf, one drawer has a glass front and the other two have the matching natural design, within gold leaf - clay molding, as the two side panels. This is unique piece of furniture that would definitely make a statement in any room of your home.This piece started life as a modern chest purchased from a well known Swedish furniture store. She was pre-loved and still in excellent condition, so deserved to be preserved and upcycled as she still has many years left to serve her purpose.I have worked extremely hard preparing this piece prior to hand-painting with a quality chalk paint, complimented by the gold decorative handles on the drawers. The gold leaf on the clay molding has an aged look to add to give this piece elegance and add to her character and style.The chest, drawers and side panels have been decorated, using a particular technique called decoupage, with a delicate floral and bird design. Finally, finished with several coats of lacquer to ensure it is hardwearing and fit for purpose. Olive has been upcycled to a high standard so that she can be enjoyed for many years to come.Approx. You may find small signs of wear because when I work on individual pieces of furniture, I consider it a piece of artwork, therefore, I try to encapsulate the past along with maintaining the character. Also there may be slight imperfections or flaws due to the nature of the individual craft being used during the upcycling process which is completely carried out by hand.
