Food and the larger olivewood board shown in the photographs are not included. Carved from a Single Piece Each tray is carved from one solid piece of sustainably sourced olivewood from Sfax, Tunisia. There are no joined sections or glued compartments. The carver follows the grain and natural form of the wood, so the shape, color, veining, and depth of the three wells will vary. Some trays are relatively regular; others reveal knots, darker heartwood, or more pronounced contours. No two will be precisely alike. Olivewood is dense, durable, and well suited to repeated use at the table. Its close grain takes a smooth finish and displays an unusually varied pattern of warm gold, brown, and darker veining.
